Stress builds
quietly.

Every relationship absorbs tension.
Expectations.
Silence.
Distance.
Love.
Until one conversation releases everything.

Aaron and Felipe have spent five years absorbing what neither could name. Tonight, in real time, the accumulated weight finds its release.

Runs approximately 45 minutes. Presented alongside another one-act within a 90-minute program.

Playwright • he/him

Jonathan Marquez is a New York City–based writer, playwright, and personal trainer. After several years working in insurance and healthcare startups, he left his corporate career to build his own fitness business while returning to writing as a serious creative practice. Fault Lines, his debut play, grew out of the aftermath of a significant breakup and a simple directive from his therapist: write. He is also at work on a collection of queer personal essays exploring identity, friendship, desire, and the stories we tell ourselves to survive. Special thanks to my family, friends, therapist, and everyone who politely pretended to enjoy hearing updates about the play. Follow Jonathan on Instagram @jonmarquezzy.
